Science Day 2026

National Science Day in Serbia is celebrated on July 10, the birthday of Nikola Tesla. This year, 2026, the world marks 170 years since the birth of one of the greatest minds in the history of mankind. Nikola Tesla was not just an inventor, he was a visionary who laid the foundations of modern civilization and scientific ethics. His work remains a lasting inspiration for the Institute that proudly bears his name.

This year, we proudly mark 90 years since, on May 28, 1936, at the Kolarac People's University, the President of the Serbian Royal Academy of Sciences, Academician Bogdan Gavrilović, proclaimed the founding of the Nikola Tesla Institute. On this occasion, on May 28, 2026, a grand ceremony was held at the Academy at the Kolarac National University, when we had the honor and pleasure of hosting numerous esteemed colleagues, esteemed associates, and dear friends and admirers of Nikola Tesla and his institute in Belgrade.
