Minister of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation, Dr. Jelena Begović, Visits the Institute
The Nikola Tesla Electrical Engineering Institute in Belgrade had the honor of hosting the Minister of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation, Dr. Jelena Begović, along with a delegation from the Ministry. Together with the Institute's management, led by Director Dr. Dragan Kovačević, the visit emphasized the importance of strengthening the research sector and increasing the number of scientists and experts interested in working at this renowned institution.
Tour of Laboratories and Centers
During the visit, the delegation toured key segments of the Institute, including:
- The Power Systems Center,
- The Specialized Laboratory for Testing Insulating Oils and Paper, and
- The Specialized Laboratory for Turbine Regulation.
Discussions highlighted the application of artificial intelligence to enhance Serbia's power system, as well as the strategic transition to renewable energy sources.
Significance of Collaboration and Development
The visit also underscored the Institute’s pivotal role in drafting Serbia's new energy strategy in collaboration with the Ministry of Mining and Energy. The delegation emphasized the importance of developing knowledge and training personnel for the future implementation of nuclear energy technologies into Serbia’s energy system.
