Meeting with the Minister of Mining and Energy on Phase 1 of the Nuclear Programme
A representative of the Nikola Tesla Institute, Dr. Djordje Lazarevic, participated in a meeting with the Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, and her team, focused on further preparation of activities within Phase 1 of the nuclear programme development in the Republic of Serbia. The meeting addressed the prepared project tasks for the development of the required studies within the assessment of the feasibility of introducing nuclear energy. Their scope, structure, and implementation approach in the upcoming period were discussed, with particular attention given to the coordination of activities within the inter-ministerial expert working group and the definition of next steps.
Dr. Lazarevic participates in the work of the inter-ministerial expert working group as a representative of the Institute, serving as the head of the subgroup responsible for legislative and regulatory framework, nuclear safety, and radiation protection, within the development of the peaceful use of nuclear energy programme in the Republic of Serbia.
