Among the First in Serbia – NIS2 Officer Certification for Our Colleague

Organized by HUB201 in cooperation with the Center for Digital Transformation and the Office for IT and eGovernment, a certificate award ceremony for the first generation of certified NIS2 Officers in the Republic of Serbia was held on September 21, 2026.

Only ten candidates in Serbia successfully completed the program, including our colleague Đorđe Šarenac from the Nikola Tesla Institute of Electrical Engineering, who earned the NIS2 Officer certificate.

The Institute recognized the importance of this program and the need to further strengthen its capacities in the field of cybersecurity. The NIS2 Directive is particularly relevant for organizations cooperating with partners from the European Union and participating in European supply chains, where cybersecurity and organizational resilience requirements are becoming increasingly important from both regulatory and business perspectives.

The certification body for the program is Austrian Standards, while the training covered cyber risk management, management accountability, organizational resilience, incident management and reporting, supply chain security, and business continuity.
