Technical Training for an EOS Representative at the Nikola Tesla Institute
From 14 to 16 October 2026, the Laboratory for Insulating Oil and Paper Testing at the Nikola Tesla Institute of Electrical Engineering conducted practical training for Paulina Alexandra Nieves, a representative of Electrical Oil Services GmbH (EOS). EOS is a Germany-based company that has licensed the Tesla’Ssorb technology developed by the Nikola Tesla Institute.
The training focused on methods for determining the acidity and corrosiveness of non-mineral insulating liquids in accordance with IEC and ASTM standards. Through hands-on work and the exchange of experience, the training covered testing procedures that play an important role in assessing insulating liquid quality and the operational reliability of power transformers.
The Institute’s chemical laboratory has 57 years of experience in insulating oil and paper testing. Its activities include assessing power transformer condition and operational risks, as well as estimating elapsed and remaining service life. The Institute’s patented technologies are used to implement measures that reduce risks and extend transformer service life.
The training marks a continuation of cooperation between the Institute and EOS, with a particular focus on sharing practical knowledge and strengthening technical expertise in insulating liquid testing.
